在這裡,那裡? 那裡?

i really missed being surrounded by these kind people while i shop at 淮海路/ 南京中路...

and also, i have to post these Aldo-lookalike (fcuk) shoes i got last weekend... because my (guy) friends attested that girls looked better in high heels, and that i should wear them everyday! (they kinda hated the boots btw)... and i wonder, what if i really dressed up as a semi-whore? i bet they're really gonna LOVE it! haha! boys! tsk tsk. which reminds me, i still have those sequined tube top from mango that i could wear as a bandage skirt with these...

(men's) bench tank top. mango skirt. shoes from juan.

i think my skin's made of onion

its almost Christmas, and i bet Shanghai weather's starting to be ice-cold *shudders* yes, my last year's winter moments are still traumatic... i'm so thankful i'm no longer there, now!

but what's funny is, while i'm covered with wool and fleece all over, most girls there wear it vivi style!

'

what i thought models here are wearing aren't for real, i was wrong! it's not just for the glossy pages...

while i heard japanese girls do it so much better! = LESSER! :)

yummmy outfits and dirty wishlists

so there was this really great study which shows that most luxury designers denies of having their products "Made in China", but in reality, almost everything is ïndeed - "Made in China" - though nobody speaks about it. Giorgo Armani and Coach were among the more 'vulgar' ones to admit so.. and now they're all shifting to Vietnam - where labor is 20% to 30% cheaper than China (or 60% lower than that of European countries). My friend once set off to Guangdong, China (where most of the factories for luxury items are located) and bought some items, which she claimed looks pretty much the real thing (she frequently buys real stuffs btw) that we wonder, "could these be actually the real thing? knowing that most of the brands today manufactures their products there...?"

and if only my new targets could speak to me, they'd probably say this...

but then again, that's why we are called shopaholics right? (which sometimes, i don't know... is it actually good? or bad?)

layering in its cutest level

that i'm kinda missing the good old autumn days...

Happy Victims & Ripped Jeans

"He is poor who doesn't feel content." - Japanese Proverbs

Kyoichi Tsuzuki, a Japanese photojournalist and publisher, has spent nearly a decade taking pictures of luxury-brand-obsessed Japanese in their tiny apartments surrounded by their collections of clothes, ties, scarves, jewelry, handbags, and shoes for Fashion News, one of Japan's oldest fashion magazines. Tsuzuki calls his subjects "happy victims" because, while they are victims of brand marketing, the items seems to bring them a sort of happiness.

One is a Hermes collector, a patent executive who lives in a fourth-floor walk-up flat. He keeps all of his Hermes shirts, ties, and leather goods in their original boxes and bags, and stacked up on his tatami floor. He spent half a million yen (about $4,000) in an Hermes briefcase that he carries with an Hermes towel wrapped around the handle to avoid damaging the leather with his hand perspiration.

There is a Buddhist monk who collects Comme des Garcons religiously. Once a month, the monk sheds his robes, dons Comme des Garcons' avant-garde constructionist clothes, and heads from his temple to Tokyo to pick up a few more pieces.

There's an English teacher at a prep school who started wearing Gianni Versace's flambouyant designs to keep the attention of his students. After ten years, he had one hundred pieces of Versace as well as an impressive Bulgari jewelry collection. He lives in a shoebox apartment with his unemployed girlfriend, who spends her days organizing a collection.

....

just so you know, I really enjoy this book i'm reading... and is helping me cope with the "ban" :)

"War destroys man, but luxury destroys mankind; at once corrupts the body and the mind." - John Crowne, Seventeenth Century English Playwright

vivi sept ish

just so you know, my current lifestyle doesn't involve any street style nor 'look what i'm wearing today' moments. i'm stucked. i'm lazy. people here raise their eyebrows when they see you dress in a NON- 'flipflops + jeans + shirt' ensemble, let alone colored /patterned tights, boots, furry jackets & trench, the so-called cut-out jeans-turned-shorts, and (my own) dad forbids me - micro pleated / leather skirts!

that is why, if i was in china or any other place today, i'd probably be wearing (or wud be shopping even!) the ff. items:
  • those boots!! :)
  • and patterned tights

  • beret in stripes! and tan faux fur vest

  • could this be a sign that i should start adoring PINK and stop hating it?? (i know, its one of my fave colored tights in my collection *weird*)

  • and its so ironic that i HAVEN'T even worn the blazers i got from H&M before i came back to Manila!

  • do i need a leather jacket in tropicaland?

  • so casual yet chic.

then again, who CARES about raised eyebrows in the 20th century right??! (^.^)
(and i also realized, i get crazy "blogging" when i have all the time in the world! second post for today! ~haha :)

ooh baby i want you...

this girl is HOT!

or maybe its the tights?? :)

i received some news, a few weeks back, that H&M will be opening in Manila soon! :) yeeeey! and also Hermes... but i can't afford Hermes, so just yey to H&M! but i also wonder if it's 4-storey, like in china, considering our Topshop stores here are kinda small? hmmmm... i wish F21 & AA would come their way soon, so our lives would be almost perfect already! ~hehehe.

and i know my HK trip is coming VERY near (next week), but i can't control myself from viewing sasa.com - and the free shipping that comes with min. $75 purchase - is really tempting! :( considering i just had my 2nd order from everydayminerals.com last week (i ordered all of their super soft brushes), now i have NO idea how the hell i'm gonna consume my makeup's in my stash! (maybe i should enroll makeup classes?).

i'm also itching to get me some of these circle lenses u see asian girls are wearing...

because it makes ur eyes purrity and huge...

even our mall receptionist (in shanghai) wears one!

and just when u tought my vanity is almost over, i'm planning to have some eyelash extensions this saturday. ~haha! let's see what happens! :)

edit: i forgot to mention, the asian girl is actually an HK model named angelbaby :)

to manila-land..

at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. i don't look so happy no? and this is the only crappy picture i have right now... hope i could resume to my normal, blogging self soon :)

i also heard its storming down there / weather is bad... and we expect 4 typhoons for august alone! *pft* so... hmmmm...

i'll be a BUM for a couple of days... i'm still preparing myself to be the COO of a company (child of owner). ~hehe. one of the most boring jobs of all... but i have goals, don't worry! it's either i look up to Ivanka Trump (building an empire) or Carla Bruni (marry up!)!!! kidding. but ilove BOTH girls.. :)

and.... i'll catch up with all of you soon!
