more effing details

OMG Edison Chen is on the front page!!! BUT my effing Chinese sucks, so damn.
  • we planned on visiting the Giant Buddha (aside from the outlet shops) in Lantau Island, HK. the cable car trip took more than 30mins... it was windy that day, and i'm scurrrd of heights. got bored eventually. also never bothered to get up-close with Buddha... a bus ride wasn't alluring at all.

and so the day passsed.

Girls Only! :)

just a peek of my slashed leggings...

and Rabbit, my sister's white snauchzer.

watched 2 movies last week:
  1. He's Just Not That Into You
  2. Confessions of a Shopaholic
both movies were great, but i liked #1 better.

and maybe its because #2 didn't gave me any inspirations, nor the slightest envy for her wardrobe. STC was sooo much better!

and... i'm going to Hongkong & Macau (again) next month! :) and i expect to be DEAD literally, cos i'll be coming straight from my Caramoan (Survivor French location) trip . damnit. Boracay is also on its way... and i still want to go to Bali, Indonesia & Singapore this year!! booo.

gone are the days when my parents give me $$$$ pocket money... now i don't have to ask why i'm dead broke and not reaching x3 savings! and its recession!!!

gearing up

i can smell the waves, even with the coldness of february.

summer's almost here, well for me, it's only a month away!

and we need to gear up for our week-long, & kick-ass wakeboarding,
whale shark watching, and island hopping adventure!

speaking of which, aren't these panties punk-ass cool?

while i'm currently taking yoga classes to prepare myself,
and keep me away from the internet for a while.

at least now you know where i've been! :)

japanese schoolgirl

moshi! moshi! (^.^)

(f21 badged cardi. random tank. h&m skirt. zara ankle boots.)

just spent Saturday night in Antipolo...
casino roadtrip baby!
so last Monday i went out in what-my-cousin-call a "harajuku" outfit. i'm not sure why, but i guess its the white tights...?? or the layering?? cause i've never seen anyone wore white tights here, and neither had she, hence...

anyway, the dress is from one of our malls in Manila (Landmark) and is $4 ONLY!! it was sooo cheap that i got the other color as well! :) BUT the original fitting & length sucks, so i payed another $5 for alteration etc. (in my new, secret tailor :), waited for almost 2 weeks (i had 6 of my clothes altered!), and i'm totally inlove with them now!

and what's funny is, i NEVER did thought of wearing them for dinner (or something special), as i only imagined myself - flocking the beach/ spending some lazy, out-of-town holidays - with these. but since the weather suddenly became a lil' chilly (really really weird!) i tried layering, and stuffs... and hey! i think it looked okay for a Christmas dinner! :)

and just as i thought that i'd be able to go out without any of those (yeah, so so lame) logo handbags, i changed my h&m studded ones for these gucci on the last minute! (btw, i already sold the studded bag on ebay).

dress: landmark. tights: h&m. shoes: zara. layered vest: online. bag: gucci joy. pearls: sm. sorry for the clutter in my room!

There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of Champagne. - Bette Davis.

last Saturday was spent in 'me & my friends' annual Christmas dinner (16 attendants this year! we're expanding! :) - good companion, sumptuous food (Silk Thai)/ wines + desserts (The Stock Market), some alcohol/ vodka's (thanks to the b'day boys!), boys boys boys, partying, and more!

really... i had the best high ever! :):)

and just when i thought we're DONE with partying (the effects of getting OLD et al) - we were WRONG! 'cos after dinner, we headed to Cuisine & Piedra... and danced our night away!

and everyone's saying that my heart got stolen that night, 'cos i had way too much fun/ alcohol/ dancing/ and boyfriends in one night! but i guess it's just the HOLIDAY CHEER in me... like c'mon, let's share the LOVE shall we? it's Christmas Season after all!!!

silk dress: zara. gold necklace: h&m. fringed clutch: h&m. juan shoes. j12.

i sooo love MANILA!! can't believe i passed it last year, working my ass off in Shanghai 'til Christmas Day!

(i belted out the dress, cos it's way too long for a fun night!)

yesterday i shopped

saw these boots from zara yesterday... and they were too comfy & slouchy to resist! *evil grin*

well, i did thought about it before, during, and after dinner... but it looked as if no amount of meat nor carbs from Holy Cow - i really recommend this place for their steaks & big servings! the food were soo good for the price tag! - would let me forget them. and having my forever&ever shopping buddy as one of my companions today didn't helped either.

so i got them HOME! :) and i think its something i can wear MORE often, as compared to my other boots, in a country where autumn & winter DOESN'T EXIST!

denim dress: bought in shanghai. boots: zara. vintage belt. lv palermo. (black shirt dress: h&m)
my friends and i met at Greenbelt3 and dined at this posh, Manhattan-style restaurant called Marciano's (which i think is owned by Marvin Agustin - a local Filipino celebrity - who obviously has a crush on me!) haha! :P conceited much? no, i was just kidding! :) but we saw him there etc.

anyway, ilove the food & the ambiance... not to mention, the big-size serving and considerably not-so-hefty pricetag :) but stupid me, i forgot to bring my memory card :( so no pictures for ya.. yet. i even wanted to show you some pieces (like brocade upholsteries, crystal/ gothic chandeliers, white bricks, red details, etc.) which i planned on putting in my room when we redecorate it... yes, i'm so sick of my pink walls! new theme? manhattan + audrey hepburn! i'll have her life-sized picture shipped soon! yada yada...

then after that, we checked out the stores in Greenbelt4 to help my friend choose her very own Christmas present! :) of course, we ended up with handbags... 'cos even though the current (fashion) season's out with bags, Manila obviously isn't ready for shoes. believe me, Havaiannas rule the world here! while i'm not complaining, cos i love lazy slippers... and i'd rather spend my day in the beach, rather than in the city! so she ended up picking something from LV...

while this was my lazy outfit today, for the traffic-infected Manila (every holiday season).

top: sham shui po, hongkong (old). black layer (i don't know what it's called!) bought online. zara tights. h&m shoes. gucci joy bag.

pink (hands) + purple (feet) nail colors! yahoo!

pleated purple

i don't know what is it with PURPLE that i had been using the color a LOT lately...

and also with my old clothes, cos i had this skirt since college! (but i love them!)

(gold tank from mango. pleated satin skirt: tango. juan shoes, dorothy perkins belt. gucci joy boston. and my overused cheap, black, strand necklace which i had been using forever!)

and i'm also thinking of selling this tank top cos its making my un-existent breast appear flatter! haha kidding! but i think its the gold thing that's making it tighter... thus...

and oh, btw. i said i wanted those MAC eyeshadow palettes, but i got these first!

coastal scents 78 palettes!

isn't it gorgeous? i got them on ebay.ph and was lucky enough to pay only $19+ plus shipping! the colors are sooo yummy!

....
my sister "might" go to New York this December, while a family friend is flying to Italy after Christmas... my head's already spinning! i don't know what to ask them!!!

or maybe one of these if i get lucky....

(lv eva clutch / gucci sukey tote)

or zero for a better peace of mind :)

all i want for christmas is you...

for now, that is! :)

(longchamp le pilage (in red), michael kors flats, open toe booties, mac eyeshadow palette... or some philip stein watch & diamond blings! :)

rihanna + gucci

gucci to benefit unicef

.....

i'm sorry if i haven't been commenting back (in your blogs) the past few weeks/months... cos i'm really trying to keep myself busy with work/ personal issues, which i suppose comes every post-college/ post-previous work/ post-migration/ etc. but i'm really thankful for the l♥ve from you guys :) and its pretty weird cos since i got home/ settled here in manila, my life's more of a rollercoaster, than when i was an expat/ studying away a few years ago...

when will the hurting end?

its so cliche... but really, God when?

sometimes we pretend to be happy, to hide away from our griefs. we ignore the problems, hoping they would resolve by itself. but maybe, we have to cry sometimes... or fight even. learn to make ourselves happy, and share. i'm so over it. and i'm ready to drown... cos i know God's gonna pick me up someday when i'm ready.

i really need a break :(
(striped top: h&m. skirt: h&m. jacket from hongkong. bag: h&m. boots: zara. snakeskin turban: only)

see no evil

some of the reasons why i plan of shutting this blog down are...
  1. i haven't been sleeping right the past few days (or earliest is 5am!), and resort to the internet to get me some zzz's - but it isn't helping either!
  2. i check up my blog (and some of yours too) and emails, etc. every morning... and before i knew it, by the time i need to start working/ fixing myself up - i'm STILL blog hopping!
  3. there's too many temptations...
  4. i really want to DO something (business related), and it involves lots of research/ study/ benchmarking whatsoever. and being updated with the latest fashion obsession is not related.
(h&m blazer. top from china. uniqlo jeans. coach wristlet.)

BUT i also realized that blogging is my outlet for random stuffs which, for a fact, i can't discuss during work (or if i do have anyway!) so i'll still keep in touch from time to time, while i'm lusting over these 2 items from Coach's Amanda collection... aaahh... maybe i should just learn TIME MANAGEMENT instead, huh?

madagascar2

so i'm finally back in the city, and first thing i did was had my nails done in blackish-plum (w/c actually looks a lot like brown) and window-shopped *yawn* nothing much i liked today... except for MADAGASCAR2, which i watched with my friends :) and it really was funny, better than the 1st one i guess...
(old clothes really make me feel comfortable... like this top i had from hk 3 yrs ago, overused h&m wedges, and uniqlo jeans. only the bag is "younger")

and also... i've been raiding my closet, separating the stuffs "i don't like" and "i don't wear", and hopefully add it on my ebay. and it's really weird cos i think i finally got tired of CLOTHES! *eeeks* that i thought, instead of helping, these (bunch of) stuffs actually don't make my life easier! then again, i think everyone goes through the phase - when we have to update our wardrobe!!

ps. it really sucks cos i haven't been sleeping for 3 F*ing days!!

yummmy outfits and dirty wishlists

so there was this really great study which shows that most luxury designers denies of having their products "Made in China", but in reality, almost everything is ïndeed - "Made in China" - though nobody speaks about it. Giorgo Armani and Coach were among the more 'vulgar' ones to admit so.. and now they're all shifting to Vietnam - where labor is 20% to 30% cheaper than China (or 60% lower than that of European countries). My friend once set off to Guangdong, China (where most of the factories for luxury items are located) and bought some items, which she claimed looks pretty much the real thing (she frequently buys real stuffs btw) that we wonder, "could these be actually the real thing? knowing that most of the brands today manufactures their products there...?"

and if only my new targets could speak to me, they'd probably say this...

but then again, that's why we are called shopaholics right? (which sometimes, i don't know... is it actually good? or bad?)

random

it just dawned into me that i've been spending waaay too much this year - from previous weekly shopping's in shanghai, to continuous flying/jet-setting/vacationing, impulsive makeup hauls, lv/gucci shopping's, and so on.

and i'm NOT really happy with the (current) ambience of my room right now. it has too much of everything! from clothes, to makeup's, accessories, shoes, et al... and instead of feeling happy & contented, i feel slightly "stressed" - most of the stuffs i have are trash. and i don't feel like using them ever cos: (1) i don't like them anymore (2) i don't need them! :(

and now i'm wishing that i'd rather have a few (valued) items than piles & piles of stuffs i don't really need.

speaking of which, i'm currently lusting of adding these on my closet...
Prada cripy nylon tote. (any) Longchamp Planetes. Michael Kors flats and clutch bag.

PS. my trip to Bohol was awesome...! will post pictures soon after my fever's gone :(

random 10.7.08

carla bruni is LOVE :)

Hermes SS 08. i just CANT get over the loose/unstructured cardi's and (again) monochromatic look :) i'm so addicted to them!

one of my fave purchase from some time ago.

btw, i'm currently on a shopping BAN! huuu.. cos i promised to wear ALL of my clothes first before buying new ones again (but wishy wishy on december... wonder what i'll want for christmas *cough* spoiled *cough* brat??) hehehe.. having my own apartment or prosperous business perhaps? better than clothes, i see :) God, if only!

but really, what i really want is priceless :) joy/ happiness/ love/ peace/ family/ God.
