i know Chloe is a fashion sweetheart and all... but this look here, is giving me an eye sore :(

or maybe it's just me.

anyway, after shopping loads for clothes & makeup these past few weeks - i'm officially on a BAN! and i'm soo sticking with it because: (1) i'm saving up for my vacay trips (these are going to be soo much FUN!!) (2) i need to focus on my work/ future MORE

also sorry for the frequent MIA's, but i kinda added "LESS time on the internet!" on my NY's resolution (i know right?) let's see how long IT'll really last... :)

.....

i'm sorry if i haven't been commenting back (in your blogs) the past few weeks/months... cos i'm really trying to keep myself busy with work/ personal issues, which i suppose comes every post-college/ post-previous work/ post-migration/ etc. but i'm really thankful for the l♥ve from you guys :) and its pretty weird cos since i got home/ settled here in manila, my life's more of a rollercoaster, than when i was an expat/ studying away a few years ago...

random

i promise to put a little effort on what i look everyday, after i'm done with all my pigging out's and non-stop vacations.

Happy Victims & Ripped Jeans

"He is poor who doesn't feel content." - Japanese Proverbs

Kyoichi Tsuzuki, a Japanese photojournalist and publisher, has spent nearly a decade taking pictures of luxury-brand-obsessed Japanese in their tiny apartments surrounded by their collections of clothes, ties, scarves, jewelry, handbags, and shoes for Fashion News, one of Japan's oldest fashion magazines. Tsuzuki calls his subjects "happy victims" because, while they are victims of brand marketing, the items seems to bring them a sort of happiness.

One is a Hermes collector, a patent executive who lives in a fourth-floor walk-up flat. He keeps all of his Hermes shirts, ties, and leather goods in their original boxes and bags, and stacked up on his tatami floor. He spent half a million yen (about $4,000) in an Hermes briefcase that he carries with an Hermes towel wrapped around the handle to avoid damaging the leather with his hand perspiration.

There is a Buddhist monk who collects Comme des Garcons religiously. Once a month, the monk sheds his robes, dons Comme des Garcons' avant-garde constructionist clothes, and heads from his temple to Tokyo to pick up a few more pieces.

There's an English teacher at a prep school who started wearing Gianni Versace's flambouyant designs to keep the attention of his students. After ten years, he had one hundred pieces of Versace as well as an impressive Bulgari jewelry collection. He lives in a shoebox apartment with his unemployed girlfriend, who spends her days organizing a collection.

....

just so you know, I really enjoy this book i'm reading... and is helping me cope with the "ban" :)

"War destroys man, but luxury destroys mankind; at once corrupts the body and the mind." - John Crowne, Seventeenth Century English Playwright

....
perfect! all i need is to raid my old wardrobe! :)

lauren lauren lauren

i used to be a sucker for the hills... watching lauren and her stupid frenemies in LA fashion. love, cute boys, boring drama's, parties, chanel, lv, and hermes totes.

now... check out lauren in her new audi!

*drooools*

never knew this boring-tv-show (aka. the hills) star earns $75,000 per episode.

ooh baby i want you...

this girl is HOT!

or maybe its the tights?? :)

i received some news, a few weeks back, that H&M will be opening in Manila soon! :) yeeeey! and also Hermes... but i can't afford Hermes, so just yey to H&M! but i also wonder if it's 4-storey, like in china, considering our Topshop stores here are kinda small? hmmmm... i wish F21 & AA would come their way soon, so our lives would be almost perfect already! ~hehehe.

and i know my HK trip is coming VERY near (next week), but i can't control myself from viewing sasa.com - and the free shipping that comes with min. $75 purchase - is really tempting! :( considering i just had my 2nd order from everydayminerals.com last week (i ordered all of their super soft brushes), now i have NO idea how the hell i'm gonna consume my makeup's in my stash! (maybe i should enroll makeup classes?).

i'm also itching to get me some of these circle lenses u see asian girls are wearing...

because it makes ur eyes purrity and huge...

even our mall receptionist (in shanghai) wears one!

and just when u tought my vanity is almost over, i'm planning to have some eyelash extensions this saturday. ~haha! let's see what happens! :)

edit: i forgot to mention, the asian girl is actually an HK model named angelbaby :)

oh yes, i'm alive!

just not in the blogosphere yet, i know :(

you see, i have tons of reasons why im NOT blogging, and answering back:

WORK
  1. being the natural geek that i am, i've been mastering microsoft office 08 in my mac os. and it's not as easy as it sounds since i have to reformat all my (work) files etc... knowing that i'm such a microsoft-windows genious! (kidding!)
  2. my current project is to arrange the accounting/treasury system in our office (fyi. i hate finance courses! and its so obvious with my spending habits! ~hehehe.) and my previous background with marketing/sales is not helping either! i also need to refresh my accounting... and do some research too!
  3. i go to work 10:30AM (that's what i love being a COO!)... which means little time for play once u stepped the office (yeah right!)
PERSONAL
  1. i can't breathe until i find a decent (w/in the budget) hotel in HK for my trip there in 2weeks! you see, i've been pushing aside this responsibility until ALL my desired hotels were FULLY BOOKED last monday. so yeah... my friends would kill me if they find out, since they told me to arrange this since august! (but thank God I found one yesterday! ~whew.)
  2. i've been obsessive compulsive arranging/burning my files in the CD (take note: 16GB).
  3. i've enrolled in the gym and started last monday. so after work, i go straight to workout, which also means, me = burned out!
  4. ... and i just don't want to do anything until i'm fully adjusted.
so sorry for the MIA!!

but here's some Agyness Deyn pics for ya! :)

agathe, where are you?

i have a confession.

i love agathe and she's been my inspiration since i accidentally visited her blog a lil' 7 months ago. she's the ONLY style blogger i know, and the ONLY blog that i check everyday. until i recently joined blogspot and found that there are a lot of stylish girls out there! oh my..

i think its been a month now since her last post, and im really missing her :(

blocking doesn't stop me from posting

what's disturbing is that even though blogspot's currently blocked in china, i still find a way to view ALL the sites that ilove and even post something (though very very time consuming! ugh.) - thanks to vidalia and tor bundle - two of the best softwares ever introduced to me by a friend! :) and my other disturbing habit right now is, i always make time to post 30 mins before office hours finish! (uh-oh!).. yes i'm doing it now! haha!

i just signed up in one gossip girl group-thingie in my multiply account last night, out of boredom.. AND the lack of updates from the said series.. what can i say? there's NOT a single english-speaking channel in my tv here other than - national geographic! and i dont think the last episode with the monkey cowering somewhere was all that entertaining... so i decided to hit the "join" button instead.

Leighton is looking lovely here... and i love the back detail of the dress!

im not sure with the bag though, but its cute..

i wish i never had my hair permed last month (ugh.. too much drama with the hairdresser... off with the topic!) anyway, leighton is looking soo gorgeous up close, don't you think?

and then i saw this:

im not sure with the whole ensemble of these two... im just digging lydia's dress and nothing else!

more. vivi magazine

okay, i have been posting obsessively in my blog and i know i have to stop! but before that, here's one of my fave vivi models.. and as said earlier, doesn't she look like a DOLL? :)
LENA

and some pages from the magazine (autumn)..

pics from http://xinwei.com

look i never get tired of...

and probably the easiest one pull off...

Christina Ricci.

tank top + pencil skirt + classic pumps = me lovesit long time.

haunted by the maxi dress

the maxi dress + gladiator sandals look is haunting me!

ashley tisdale / lindsay lohan

nicole richie

i have been stocking up on maxi dresses ever since dorothy perkins showed up with their color block collection for spring & summer 2007 (just like what lindsay was wearing). but the problem is, i cant find the perfect time to wear them in manila! now i regret not wearing them before cos i bet everyone is donning the same outfit already...

i also cant wait for the perfect weather to wear the tribal maxi dress i got from h&m the other week...

(stole this pic from madame mode's, cos its the exact same thing!)

h&m also came up with the marimekko tribute collection when i visited last weekend..

im doomed. i always say im broke, but it feels like im going on another shopping spree this weekend, and try my luck to grab some nice maxi's from the shop i was telling you about before (high end overruns) or if all things fail, go back to h&m... the style never goes out of fashion anyway. or maybe, i could just save my money for a while and wait for our bangkok trip (cross fingers) months from now :)

*i also promise to post last weekend's pictures with my friends (when they visited me here) and my new loots :)
