2011 Dodge Charger Teased in Official Document?

While reading the Chrysler Group's five-year product plan (see details here) on the Dodge brand's future model line-up, we found these two photos that appear to be depicting the profile and the instrument panel of the new 2011 Charger rear-wheel drive sedan that will be launched onto the market sometime next year.

We don't yet have confirmation that the picture does indeed show the new Charger, but if it does, then it looks like that the four-door sedan's exterior design was influenced to some extent by the 1999 Charger Concept model that you can check out in our gallery below.

According to the official document, along with the dramatic new styling, the RWD sedan will also get "a class leading interior, class leading features, lifestyle orientated packaging, new engine, vest in class performance and fuel economy."

VIDEO: Dodge Boys Racing Hot Charger Bus Commercials

Dodge's motorsport division has launched a new series of online ads featuring the company's 'big-bad' NASCAR bus that will be making an 88-stop tour across the country to promote the Dodge product lineup. Nicely done commercials, too bad that Chrysler's PR department (ha, that's a good one...) hasn't taken the time to promote the ads as we stumbled upon them by chance, but we guess we'll get the word around...

Dodge Charger Coupe Conversion with Twin-Turbocharged and Supercharged V8

Dodge Charger Coupe TuningUndoing what Chrysler probably shouldn't have done in the first place when it decided to revive the Charger nameplate, Force Performance is currently working on a coupe version of the Dodge four-door sedan. The Miami-based company has already chopped the doors off and lowered the roof, but MOPAR fans will have to wait a while to see the final result. -Continued

Visuals aside, Force Performance has also got its hands on the Charger's 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that gains twin GT40 turochargers and a supercharger -hence the TriCharger name of the car- along with a series of other mods that promise to offer some serious performance.

2009 Dodge Charger Cop Car Gets More Grunt

The boys in blue -or at least some of them- will be happy to know that a new, more powerful interceptor has just hit the streets. Just like the civilian version, the 2009 Dodge Charger police car benefits from Chrysler's tweaked 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that produces 368 HP and 395 lb.-ft. of torque, or 28HP and 5 pounds of torque more than the 2007 model. As before, departments with a lower budget can opt for the basic version that gets a 250 HP 3.5 V6 engine. -Continued

Compared to the civilian version, the cop-spec Dodge Charger's features include performance-tuned steering and suspension, heavy-duty seats to accommodate fully equipped (or...fully-sized) officers, a column-mounted shift lever Load-leveling, height-control shock absorbers and a severe-duty cooling system.

2009 Dodge Charger Gets More Powerful 368HP 5.7L V8 Hemi

Dodge Charger SRT8 2009Leaving aside the allegedly restyled tail lamps as despite what Dodge says, we fail to see any visible differences with the ones found on the ’08 model, the most notable change on the 2009 Charger is the new-generation 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine on the RWD and AWD R/T models with improved fuel efficiency and increased horsepower. According to Dodge, the revised 5.7-liter HEMI V8 produces an estimated 368 HP and 395 lb.-ft. or 536 Nm of torque compared to the ’08 5.7L Hemi V8 that was rated at 340 HP (350HP with the Road/Track Performance option) and 390 lb.-ft. or 525 Nm of torque respectively. Hit the jump to check out all the changes for the 2009 Charger models. -Continued
