VIDEOS: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Presentation and Action Shots

The new XTS Sedan Concept looks promising and all but the real star at Cadillac's 2010 NAIAS booth is the 2011 CTS-V Coupe. Basically, it's a slightly more compact, two-door version of the CTS-V sedan sharing the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with 556HP and a whopping 551 lb.-ft. of torque (747 Nm).

Offered with a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shift control that transfer power to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential, the CTS-V Coupe is propelled from 0 to 60mph (96km/h) in a mere 3.9 seconds.

Hit the jump to check out the live photos from the Detroit Show and of course, two videos that include the official presentation and a promo film with some power-sliding action.

Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept: Videos and Live Shots from Detroit Show

Making its world premiere at the Detroit motor show alongside the 556HP Cadillac CST-V Coupe, is the XTS Platinum Concept. GM calls it a concept model, but the 203.5 inches (5,170mm) long XTS is expected to heavily influence Cadillac's upcoming flagship sedan that will replace the DTS, and quite possibly, the STS also.

The full-size sedan, which most likely shares the vehicle platform with the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, keeps all the usual styling cues of modern Cadillacs such as the sharp creases and vertical lights.

The concept's interior blends leather, wood and other high quality materials with modern technology like the Organic Light-Emitting Diode (O-LED) displays that replace the traditional gauges and screens.

Under the Caddy's bonnet is GM's 3.6-liter V6 engine with direct-injection plus a plug-in hybrid system that deliver a combined output of 350HP and 295 lb-ft of torque.

VIDEO: 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Walkaround with Bryan Nesbitt

Bryan Nesbitt, former vice president of design for GM North America turned Cadillac general manager, walks us around the exterior and interior of the all-new 2011 CTS Coupe that was unveiled at the 2009 LA Auto Show. When sales start in Spring 2010, the CTS Coupe will take on the BMW 3-Series, Audi A5 and Infiniti G37 coupes. Initially there'll only be one powerplant, a 304-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 that can be combined with rear- or all-wheel drive, but an M3-rivalling V-Series model packing a 556HP supercharged V8 is set to join the range shortly after.

VIDEO: Cadillac Shows Off 2011 CTS Coupe on the Road

The wait is over for Cadillac's all-new 2011 CTS Coupe that will make its world premiere at the LA Auto Show before going on sale in the spring of 2010. In this first video footage, you can get a chance to see and hear the 2+2 Coupe on the road. The basic version of the CTS Coupe, which shares the same 304-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine as its four-door sedan and station wagon siblings, will be joined by a high-powered V-Series model in the very near future. GM Releases Official Cadillac CTS-V Challenge Race Video

Now that we all know the results of the spunky CTS-V Challenge at the Monticello Motor Club, it's time to see GM's official video take on the race with all the protagonists. If you happened to miss our previous post, former GM Performance Division Executive John Heinricy cut the ribbon first with a CTS-V, young Michael Cooper with a private BMW M3 Sedan came in fourth while Bob Lutz and his automatic CTS-V finished 7th beating Jalopnik's Wes Siler who raced a Mitsubishi EVO X after "XXXXX" withdrew its pledge to give him the "XXXX" (yes, we're trying to amuse one of our "anonymous commentators"...). Video after the break.

VIDEO: GM Gives Us a Quick Tour of the Monticello Race Track in New York

In a few hours GM's Bob Lutz will compete against automotive journalists and private owners driving other production sedans in the Cadillac CTS-V Challenge at the Monticello Motor Club in New York. But before we see the actual race, GM released a video that gives us a quick tour of the overview of the track with co-owner Ari Straus and former GM Performance Division Executive, John Heinricy. Watch it after the jump.

VIDEO: New Cadillac Spot Previews Production CTS Coupe

General Motors has released a new 60-second spot for its Cadillac brand called "Re-ignition", which showcases the firm's forthcoming models including the CTS Sport Wagon, the new 2010 SRX crossover and most importantly, at the final segment of the clip, the production version of the CTS Coupe that is due to arrive in U.S. showrooms the summer of 2010.

We only get a quick glimpse of the two-door sports coupe, but from what we can tell, the vehicle's exterior styling has remained remarkably close to the concept car that was shown at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show.

According to a recent announcement from GM, the CTS Coupe's range will include a BMW M3-challenging (we doubt that it will target the more expensive M6 Coupe) "V" model boasting the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 556-horsepower as the CTS-V Sedan.
