These photographs of the all-new 2011 Infiniti QX have just landed on the webosphere providing us with our first undisguised view of the Japanese firm's QX56 successor that's expected to arrive in the U.S. sometime in 2010. If you take a moment to look at these spy pictures of the next-generation Nissan Patrol, also known in some markets as the Safari, you'll discover that, besides the unique front and rear-end designs along with the slightly different wheel arches, the two vehicles are practically one and the same.
We'll agree with our Jalopnik friends that the front-end styling of the new Infiniti QX including the blacked out windscreen columns and the side air-vents bring to mind the Kia Soul crossover...
There's no official information on Infiniti's extra-large luxury SUV that targets the likes of the Lexus LX, but U.S. buyers should expect a V8 option, quite possibly based on the 2011 Infiniti M's new 5.6-liter V8 which is said to deliver somewhere around 400 horsepower.
