One of a Kind Show Toronto

Such great comments on my last post everyone! I enjoyed reading every one of them and hearing about your views on blogging. Whether we blog for fun or for business or just for ourselves, I think we're all at least becoming more aware of the endless possibilities of blogging.

Speaking of possibilities, because of this blog I was invited to the media breakfast for the One of a Kind Show today, thanks to Susan Tyndall at O Live PR and Shannon at What's Up Whimsy! Let me tell you, that was the BEST breakfast I have had in a very long time. It was prepared by the students of the George Brown College Chef School and featured such delicious fare as Scottish Egg, Cornflake-coated French Toast, and Breakfast Tea Poached Pear. Yum!

So with a full tummy, I headed off to check out the show. If you've never been, the One of a Kind Show is a wonderland of hand-crafted goodness. It is definitely the place to go to find the perfect Christmas gift. I think the show gets better and better every year and this year was definitely the best yet. Here's some of the things that caught my eye:

There was sooooo much great stuff to buy at the show, can't you tell? I think I have to go back and get some of that cappuccino toffee and shortbread cookies I resisted buying. Good thing that the show offers a readmit pass - you pay once, and you can come back again anytime during the duration of the show (Nov 25-Dec 5)!

So what goodies did come home with me? As usual, I came home with things for the kiddo and nothing for me. I can't help it; stuff for her is way too cute to resist! She got adorable kimono pjs from Redfish Kids Clothing (don't tell her, she'll get them for Christmas!) and these sweet sweet things too...

Red Riding Hood cape from Patouche; Woodland bookends from Gosia Gosia

Chloe was over-the-moon happy to have a cape that matched her favorite pajamas :) Do make a trip to the show if you can. There's something there for everyone on your list!
